Nazareth Adidi

Kaurareg Elder Aunty Nazereth Adidi is from Kubin Village on Mua Island and has family ties to Mer. Her totem is Dhangal (dugong) and wind is Sager Gub (south east wind). Aunty Nazareth is a Kala Lagaw Ya speaker.

Her interest in arts and craft stem from her mother who loved to sew, bead and weave baskets.  Aunty Nazareth only seriously considered art after her children were grown.  Encouraged by her sister Rose Tomsana, she started assisting her in workshops at the Gab Titui in 2019.

Aunty Nazareth is constantly on the lookout for natural seeds and often returns from her travels across Far North Queensland with bags full of seeds she has collected.
